Spokane Senator Pioneers Landmark Self-employment Legislation.
Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown met with State Microenterprise Association representatives today, January 26th, 2006  to highlight six new bills to promote small business development in Washington.   The six bills, if enacted, would enable Washington State for the first time to stimulate entrepreneurs to start new businesses, get essential training, and find community support when and where they need it.   The bills stimulate financial support for entrepreneurs and state self-employment organizations, with a combination of grants, loans, loan guarantees and incentives for the state’s banks. more>
