SNEDA awarded $700,000 to co-invest with Community Frameworks in creating jobs and self-employment opportunities
Spokane Neighborhood Economic Development Alliance (SNEDA) received notice last week from the offices of Senator Cantwell and Congresswoman McMorris of a federal grant award of $700,000 from the US Department of Health and Human Services - Office of Community Services to create jobs and business opportunities for low to moderate income people.

The funds are to be used by SNEDA to invest in a new property rehabilitation company, a business to be owned by Community Frameworks and SNEDA. The primary mission is to acquire and rehabilitate vertical mixed use buildings in order to have retail/commercial on the ground floor and housing on the upper floors. SNEDA’s funds are to be used to assist the retail and commercial businesses on the ground floor.
